Indochine Cruise Lan Ha Bay will take you to all highlight and unique excursion of the pristine Lan Ha Bay. From the largest floating fishing village to the beautiful white sand beaches. Lan Ha Bay is comprised of over four-hundred tropical islets with secluded sandy beaches and has managed to retain a relatively pristine environment by avoiding substantial tourist attention. Discover an array of natural wonders including Cat Ba Island – Lan Ha’s most iconic resident. This tropical oasis is the largest landmass in the Ha Long Bay complex, stretching over an area more than 200km2. Officially recognized by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve, Cat Ba is famous for its limestone mountains, extensive cave systems, tropical forests and casual island lifestyle.
Itineraries vary slightly depending on the package and length of cruise (including two days one night, three days two nights, and chartered upon request), however, each has been designed to maximize customer experience. Trips are organized to fishing villages, private tours to remote islands are popular, spa services operate daily, and kayaking is available through caves in search of secluded lakes. On-board activities from films to board games are also available to keep guests entertained into the evening.

Itinerary
- Day 1: Hanoi – Lan Ha Bay.
It takes only about 2.5 hours from Hanoi’s Old Quarter to Got Ferry Pier in Hai Phong City where the Indochine Cruise awaits you. Round-trip transportation is on request with additional surcharge.
12:00 – 12:30: Boarding our boat at Got Port – enjoy welcome drink and receive cruise briefing and safety instructions.
13:15 – 14:30: Passengers enjoy the deluxe Vietnamese Buffet Lunch while cruising to Van Boi fishing village for kayaking and swimming. Massage service is available after lunch and throughout the cruise. Please book in advance with your Cruise Manager.
16:15 – 17:30: Reaching to Van Boi fishing Village. There will be a chance for you to explore the biggest fishing village in Lan Ha Bay. There are about over 800 fisherman houses there and you will see how they live, how they catching and feeding the marine species.
17:30 – 19:00: Depart and sail to Lan Ha area and anchor overnight. 18:00 – 18:30 Attend the Cooking demonstration led by our Head Chef. During the lesson, the chef will guide you how to make the traditional Vietnamese food.
19:15 – 20:30: Ala carte Menu Dinner is served on restaurant.
20:45: Evening activities. Board games like cards or Parcheesi are available, as well as massage service (massage service is available throughout the cruise). Also, everyone can try their luck at squid fishing on the boat with help from the crew or enjoying the show of squid catching by high-tech light machine system.
21:00 – 22:00: Happy Hour! Buy one drink – get one free (wine by the bottle excluded).
23:00: End of program for Day 1. - Day 2: Lan Ha – Viet Hai Village.
06:45: Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries served in the dining room.
07:00: Enjoy Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck (lasting for about 30 minutes).
07:30 – 08:15: Have breakfast in the restaurant.
08.30: Transfer to smaller boat for cruising to the Dark and Bright cave.
08:30 – 10:00: Dark and Bright (also known as Day and Night) grotto is not only known for the stunning limestone structure at every turn but also for the interesting natural habitat. The best way to expore this cave is doing kayaking and swimming through the tunnel so you will spend mostly your time for swimming and kayaking there.
10:15 – 11:15: Get back to the big boat and transfer to the Three Peaches Islets (Ba Trai Dao beach) where there are many unspoiled and natural beaches. You would have time to swimming or do kayaking there.
12:15 – 12:40: Transfer to Viet Hai Village which is a small village in the midst of jungles, covered by high mountains range of the Cat Ba National Park.
13:00 – 15:00: Having lunch on smaller boat.
15:15 – 16:30: You would have much time for biking to experence and seesighting the beauty and charming of Viet Hai Village.
16:30 – 17:00: Return to mother boat and reaching to the Tra Bau area for anchor overnight.
18:15 – 19:00: Cooking Demonstration is performed in our restaurant or on sundeck.
19:15 – 20:30: Ala cart Menu Dinner is served on Restaurant
21:00 – 22:00: Happy Hour! Buy one drink – get one free (wine by the bottle excluded).
23:00: End of program for Day 2. - Day 3: Lan Ha Bay – Hanoi.
06:45: Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries served in the dining room.
07:00: Enjoy Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck (lasting for about 30 minutes).
08:00 – 09:00: Depart to Ong Cam area – one of the most spectacular, quite and unspoiled area for swimming and kayaking.
09:15: Transfer back to mother boat. Please collect all of your belongings from the cabins and leave heavy luggage outside the cabins (staff will transfer directly to the pier).
09:30: Enjoy a full breakfast in the dining room. Bills are settled after breakfast.
Relax on the sundeck or in the dining room enjoying the bay scenery as we approach the pier.
11:00: Arrive at Got Pier; relax inside the pier building while waiting for return transportation. End of tour.
2 days 1 night:
- Day 1: Hanoi – Tuan Chau Island – Lan Ha Bay.
It takes only about 2.5 hours from Hanoi’s Old Quarter to Tuan Chau Island (Halong City) where you will spend 20 minutes on tender/ speedboat to reach the Indochine Cruise (Round-trip transportation is on request with additional surcharge).
Indochina Cruise’s Lan Ha edition boards at 12:30 P.M every day.
Enjoy a complimentary drink and take a seat in the lounge before a short welcome briefing with fellow guests. Become acquainted with the ship facilities, itineraries, and the crews. Take some time to adjust to your luxurious floating home. You’ll be shown to your room where you can unpack your belongings enjoy the bedroom balcony view before freshening up just in time for lunch. As you indulge in an exquisite & freshly cooked meal, the boat sets sail for the quiet area Lan Ha Bay and from here you have 2 options to choose from, depending on the weather conditions:
Option 1: Transfer by speedboat to Cat Ba Island and take an excursion to Viet Hai village. Stroll around the idyllic enclave and see the fabulously rustic homes of the locals. Then bike onto village paths and head into some of the lush greenery for which Cat Ba Island is known.
Option 2: Sail over to Van Boi floating fishing village, one of the few remaining floating communes in the whole Lan Ha area. You can experience the kayaking activities around this area or take sightseeing the impressive view the area by speedboat/tender.Back on board the boat to enjoy some free time whilst the cruise drifts deeper into the tropical island complex. This is a perfect time to check-out the panoramic sundeck, relax in your room or acquaint oneself with the bar. After ninety-minutes, our head chef will lead a cooking demonstration – a typical feature of Vietnamese culinary culture. Watch in wonder as mere vegetables are carved into life, and try your hand at making a typical Vietnamese dish.
Alacarte dinner meals platter ranges from salads to seafood, and meat dishes to seasonal fruits and deserts. Happy hour duly follows dinner, and you can spend the rest of your night as you wish. Board games are available for some friendly competition, you can try your hand at squid fishing with our staff, the sundeck is most atmospheric at this time, and the lounge furniture becomes increasingly alluring – and all that is if you can resist our luxury spa service.
- Day 2: Lan Ha Bay – Tuan Chau Island – Hanoi.
Start your day with a sunrise Tai Chi class upon the sundeck as the day breaks on the calm lagoon. Treat yourself to European-style pre-breakfast snacks with tea and coffee before setting visiting the Dark and Bright (also known as Bat Cave) grotto is not only known for the stunning limestone structure at every turn but also for the interesting natural habitat. The best way to explore this cave is doing kayaking or bamboo sampan drive by local people through the tunnel so you will spend mostly your time relaxing and enjoy the quiet and natural place (This is the UNESCO Heritage site and also the nature reserve area of Cat Ba National Park).
Return to the Indochine Cruise. You will have 30 minutes to freshen up and finish packing. Please collect all of your belongings from the cabins and leave heavy luggage outside the cabins.
Enjoy the breakfast buffet in the dining room, consisting of both Vietnamese and international dishes. Bills are settled after breakfast.
Approach the harbour while cruising back, giving you the opportunity to soak up the last of the magical atmosphere of Lan Ha from the sundeck. Relax inside the Indochina Cruise’s lounge while waiting for return transportation. End of tour.
